# Use voice roleplay

Voice roleplay lets you rehearse a conversation out loud. The roleplay session
handles the live practice; Dale helps with setup and debrief in your main
conversation.

## Before you start

- Move to a place where you can speak comfortably.
- Use headphones if you hear echo.
- Allow microphone access when your browser asks.
- Close another app that may be using the microphone.
- Tell Dale what role, stakes, and difficulty would make the practice useful.

## During the roleplay

Speak naturally. You do not need to perform perfectly. If you get stuck, pause,
reset your sentence, and try the move you actually want available in real
life.

## After the roleplay

Return to Dale for the debrief. Focus on one or two observable changes instead
of trying to improve everything at once.

## If audio is not working

See [Fix microphone, camera, or audio problems](/troubleshooting/audio-and-camera/).

> **Camera practice is opt-in**

> When a practice offers live visual cue feedback, camera consent applies to
> that practice only. ProSocial does not record, store, or upload your video.
