Use Microexpression Training

Flash facial cues, name the emotion, and send your score to Dale.

Updated View as Markdown

Microexpression Training is a short reading drill. You watch fleeting facial cues and name the emotion — the same quick flashes people show in real conversation before they settle their face.

What you practice

You work through 10 cues. For each one, choose among anger, contempt, disgust, fear, happiness, sadness, and surprise. You get accuracy, average response time, and a per-cue breakdown when you finish.

Difficulty

Before you start, choose how long each cue stays on screen:

  • Easy — the expression stays visible; you can Replay
  • Medium — about a 500ms flash; you can Replay
  • Hard — about a 250ms flash; no replay

Start Microexpression Training

  1. Open Menu, then Library. Choose the Training filter and start Microexpression Training. You can also ask Dale.
  2. Choose Easy, Medium, or Hard.
  3. Choose Start Easy Training, Start Medium Training, or Start Hard Training.
  4. For each cue, pick the emotion you saw.
  5. When you see Training Complete, review your score.

Choose Play Again for another set, or Send to Coach when you want Dale to see the result.

What Dale receives

Send to Coach shares a short summary: difficulty, how many you got right, average time, and which emotions you missed. The practice uses catalog cue images — your camera stays off.
