Connect ProSocial to AI apps

Check AI connector availability, prepare your profile, and control what you share.

Updated View as Markdown

ProSocial can share your People Skills profile and approved Write Like Me guide with an AI app you authorize. These give the app context for communication advice and writing in your voice. Each type of data has its own sharing control.

Availability

AI app Availability
Claude Available in the Claude connector directory
ChatGPT / OpenAI Available as the ProSocial plugin. In ChatGPT, open Plugins and search for ProSocial.
Microsoft Copilot Studio Available as an MCP tool. See Microsoft Copilot Studio.
Muse Coming soon
Grok Coming soon
Microsoft 365 / Copilot (Teams) Coming soon

Prepare your profile and guide in ProSocial before you connect an app. For apps marked Coming soon, check this page for availability before you start.

Prepare your People Skills profile

  1. Complete your full People Skills Index in ProSocial.
  2. Open Menu → Settings → Privacy & data.
  3. Find Share with AI apps.
  4. Turn on Allow connected AI services to read my People Skills profile.

Sharing is off by default. Each AI app also needs your permission to connect.

A connected app can read your current full profile: People Skills Index scores, strengths, growth areas, self-perception, awareness gaps, and changes over time. It also receives your Warm or Direct coaching preference if you have chosen one.

Prepare your Write Like Me guide

Your AI Writing Fingerprint is the writing guide you create with Dale through Write Like Me. It has a separate sharing control, which is off by default.

  1. Complete your full People Skills Index.
  2. Ask Dale to create your Write Like Me guide. You can paste writing samples or approve a read of sent email from Gmail or Outlook.
  3. Review the complete guide Dale proposes. Ask for changes as needed, then approve the version you want to save.
  4. Ask Dale to enable external sharing for your AI Writing Fingerprint and approve the change.

Connected apps receive the approved guide. Ask Dale to update it when your writing preferences change.

Connect an available AI app

Follow these steps when your AI app has a supported connection path. Check the availability table above first.

  1. Open the app’s connector or integration settings and choose ProSocial.
  2. Sign in to the ProSocial account that holds your profile or writing guide.
  3. Review the permission request and authorize the connection.
  4. Ask the app to use your ProSocial profile for communication advice, or your Write Like Me guide for a draft.

For example: “Use my ProSocial People Skills profile to help me prepare for a feedback conversation.” Or: “Use my ProSocial writing guide to draft this email in my voice.”

Microsoft Copilot Studio

A Copilot Studio maker can add ProSocial to an agent. Each person who uses the agent signs in to their own ProSocial account.

  1. Open your agent in Copilot Studio and go to Tools → Add a tool → New tool → Model Context Protocol.
  2. Enter a server name, such as ProSocial, and a description, such as “Reads the signed-in member’s ProSocial People Skills profile.”
  3. Enter the server URL https://app.tryprosocial.com/mcp.
  4. Under Authentication, choose OAuth 2.0, then Dynamic discovery. Copilot Studio registers itself with ProSocial automatically.
  5. Select Create. Under Connection, choose Create new connection, sign in to ProSocial, and select Allow.
  6. Select Add and configure. Test the agent with: “Get my ProSocial People Skills profile.”

Copilot Studio agents need a Copilot Studio license and a Power Platform environment with Dataverse.

Custom MCP setup

MCP is the connection method used by compatible AI apps. For a supported custom connection, use this server address:

https://app.tryprosocial.com/mcp

Setup also requires ProSocial OAuth sign-in and authorization. The client must support MCP OAuth with PKCE. ProSocial accepts any client that registers itself through Client ID Metadata Documents or Dynamic Client Registration.

The connector provides two read-only tools:

Tool Data it reads
get_my_people_skills_profile Your shared People Skills profile.
get_my_writing_fingerprint Your approved, shared writing guide.

Both tools take zero arguments. Access is limited to the signed-in member’s own shared data. Their permissions cover reading that data only. Make changes to your profile and guide in ProSocial.

Stop sharing

  • People Skills profile: Open Menu → Settings → Privacy & data and turn off Share with AI apps. This blocks future profile reads by connected AI apps.
  • Writing guide: Ask Dale to disable external sharing for your AI Writing Fingerprint and approve the change. This blocks future writing-guide reads. Asking Dale to delete the guide and approving deletion also disables its sharing.
  • One AI app: Use that app’s disconnect or remove-connection control to end the connection there.

Use both ProSocial sharing controls to stop future reads of both types of data. Details already shared can remain in the AI app’s conversations or memory. Manage those copies with that app’s deletion and privacy controls. For ProSocial’s terms, read the Privacy Policy.

Troubleshooting

What you see What to do
ProSocial is missing from an app’s directory Check the availability table above. For apps marked Coming soon, return to this page for availability before starting setup.
A custom connection asks for client configuration or rejects authorization Choose your client’s automatic OAuth registration option, such as Dynamic discovery. If authorization still fails, contact support.
The app asks you to reconnect For an available connector, reconnect and sign in to the account that holds your ProSocial data.
Your People Skills profile is not ready Open ProSocial, finish the full People Skills Index or an in-progress update, and check Menu → Settings → Privacy & data → Share with AI apps.
Your writing guide is missing or sharing is disabled Ask Dale to create the guide, approve it, and enable its separate external sharing control.
A read fails or times out Wait, then try again. If the problem continues, contact support.
The app still refers to old details after you stop sharing Use the AI app’s conversation and memory controls to manage details it already received.

For help, email support@tryprosocial.com with the app name, the setup step, and the message shown. Keep passwords and sign-in codes private.
